Alarming Footage Reveals Point Officers Get Knifed in Unexpected Assault

Both Senior Officers Instants Before the Aggressor Received Electric Shock

One ranking policeman that leaped to the assistance of a partner that was assaulted by a knifeman received the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against 27-year-old Jacob Brown after he placed a knife to the neck of his partner Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown launched his attack as the law enforcement personnel and their third officer, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist after a vehicle incident in the area in summer 2023.

Brown attacked with blade both Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft stunned him with a Taser.

"Officer knifed," the officer could be heard saying over his communication device.

Officer-mounted and vehicle camera recording shared by the police department depicted Brown, that was clothed in dark clothing with a hood up, rush to Sgt Foster from behind with a blade outstretched.

He struck the officer who tripped and went down to the ground, before Sgt Ansell stepped in and attempted to subdue him to the floor even though being multiple times hit with the blade.

Police Constable Wolstencroft Stopped the Aggressor, Jacob Brown, with a Stun Gun

PC Wolstencroft drew his Taser and sought a safe opportunity, ending the fight to an end.

Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "I need help on my neck now, I'm bleeding in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple open wounds to his neck and more cuts to his arms and torso, whereas Sergeant Foster suffered knife wounds.

Officials stated Sergeant Foster used his bare hands to stem his colleague's bleeding before emergency responders arrived.

This most recent recognition arrives subsequent to the law enforcement team won internal Valor Recognitions in fall 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the regional officer association in early 2024.

They further earned a Regional Valor Recognition in summer 2024.

"The efforts of all three officers ultimately saved themselves and ensured no civilians suffered any injuries."

Brown received a sentence to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, according to the department.
